Privacy Policy

XANMU LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the “Which Historical Figure Are You?” personality quiz. This policy explains what information we collect and how it is used.

What we collect

Quiz answers: your 20 quiz answers are processed in your browser to generate your result. If you purchase a report, your answers and the derived personality traits are also processed on our server to generate the report content.

Email address: collected by Stripe at checkout so we can deliver your report and respond to support or refund requests.

Payment metadata: we receive non-card details from Stripe about your transaction (such as the amount, currency, payment status, and a transaction identifier) so we can verify your purchase and unlock your report.

What we don’t collect

We do not require accounts, usernames, or passwords. We never see, collect, or store your full card number or CVV — payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Cookies and local storage

We use sessionStorage to remember your quiz progress in your current browser session (for example, so you can resume if you navigate away before finishing). This data stays on your device and is cleared when the session ends. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we share data

Stripe: our payment processor. Stripe receives your email and payment information at checkout and processes it under Stripe’s own privacy policy.

OpenAI API: to generate personalized report content, we send your anonymized quiz traits (such as dimension scores) to the OpenAI API. We do not send your name, email, payment details, or any other personal identifiers with report-generation requests.

We do not sell your data. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or property.

Data retention

Quiz answers kept on our servers for report generation are retained only as long as needed to deliver your report and handle support or refund requests, and are then deleted. Transaction records required for accounting and tax purposes may be retained for the period required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you (for example, your email address). To exercise these rights, contact us at xanmu@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
